In Animal Forest e+, Del’s house is initially the same as Kabuki’s, but only with the planked tami and the rusty shed wallpaper. His stereo plays K.K. March.

In City Folk, he has some pirate furniture. He has a globe and surprisingly, a robo-dresser. He also has an inner tube and an amazing machine, but lacks any gyroids. If he owns a stereo, it will play K.K. March.

In New Leaf, Del retains the same wallpaper and flooring but has more of a futuristic theme, with several items of the Robot Theme, no longer owning any pirate items.

In New Horizons the exterior of the home is a navy blue with a red door and a small circular window. The roof is a black with a lighter grey around the edges. The interior of the home has an intricate piping wallpaper and pirate themed flooring. The furniture consists of a sink, generator, a black folding table with two green chairs and a board game, two nitrogen tanks, various building materials and the work bench. On the back wall he has a key holder and a black shelf. Hanging above on the wall are three models of the golden gears DIY.

Amiibo Campers

Inviting a villager to the campsite.

After construction of the campsite, players can invite Amiibo to their campsite via the Nook Stop terminal found in Resident Services. If a compatible villager figure or Amiibo card is read, the corresponding villager will visit the island and immediately stay in the campsite location until the next day. If a special character Amiibo is read, such as Isabelle or Tom Nook, unique dialogue appears telling the player that they’re too busy to stay at the campsite. New villagers like Raymond and Audie, cannot be invited in this way due to the lack of Amiibo Cards.

Cases where Amiibo campers cannot be invited

Amiibo-scanned villagers that are in the player’s move-in queue (obtained from other player’s voids) will be unable to visit the campsite (this results in an «answering machine» response). Players need to be aware of obtaining villagers from other player’s voids when visiting because it can happen at any time.

Villagers in the player’s void, however, can still be invited via Amiibo.

DIY Requests

Upon speaking enough times with the invited villager, they will request the player craft them a specific DIY item akin to their personality. If the player does not currently own the recipe to craft the item, the villager will give it to them, making Amiibo campsite invitations another source of obtaining DIY recipes. The player won’t get an additional DIY recipe for recipes they already possess. If the request is completed before the day ends, the invited villager will give the player a piece of furniture or clothing in return.

Permanent move in

Amiibo campers will not be willing to move in at all on the first day they visit. The player can have an invited villager move to their island permanently if they invite said villager to their campsite on three separate days and complete their DIY requests each day. After each DIY request is fulfilled, the player will have the option to invite the villager to move to the island permanently. During the initial two visits, the invited villager will decline the player’s offers, telling the player to «invite them again and ask.» However, during the third visit, the invited villager will accept the player’s offer to move in and will call Resident Services to complete the move.

The call to Resident Services and subsequent move-in will fail if the player does not have enough empty plots allocated or the island is already at the maximum 10 villagers. In the event of the latter, the player will have the option to negotiate with an existing villager of their choosing and have them move out in favor of the invited Amiibo one. In the event that the island has 9 or fewer residents and does not have enough plots allocated, the invited villager will report that there is not enough room for them to stay. If the player then builds a lot and reports back to the invited villager, the villager will ask if they should try to call again and will be able to successfully move in if the player allows them to.

Villagers obtained this way will move in on the next day or newly built plots, or on the second day from invite if the player chooses to replace an existing villager. If an existing villager is chosen to be replaced, they will start moving out immediately, leaving their plot empty the next day for the newly invited villager to move in.

Del in Animal Forest e+

Del is a dark purple-grey alligator, the bottom portion of his jaws and abdomen a rich red. The tip of his tail, and his feet seem to be a separate piece of metal than the rest of his body. He has large, black nostrils, white teeth and half open eyes with small black pupils, giving him a tired or angry look. His eyes become a bright red when performing certain Reactions.There are black rectangles on the sides of his face, possibly representing the ‘windows’ of a battleship. His head has a marked resemblance to «crocs» a slip on shoe. In Animal Forest e+, Del initially wears a wave shirt in Animal Forest e+, and a blue-stripe tee in later games.

Play as Isabell

Isabell is a strong contender for the most popular character in the Animal Crossing franchise, so who wouldn’t like to be able to play as her instead of just with her? With this mod, you can do just that. Sure, there are plenty of ways you can customize your character in the normal game, but you’re always stuck being a boring old human while your fellow villagers get to be fun animals. This mod isn’t just a simple head swap, either — it’s compatible with most clothing options your normal villager has, plus it can make all the expressions you expect. Some drawbacks are that you can’t change any of the facial features, which would kind of defeat the point of the mod anyway. Also, the texture quality is a little low, her hair doesn’t animate, and they haven’t implemented socks or leggings yet.

Island

Similar to choosing a layout for a town in the previous installment, the player has the option of choosing an island layout when applying. This also includes a choice in either living in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere.

Choosing either of Northern or Southern Hemisphere results in differing seasons depending on the time of year. For example, while it’s summer in the Northern Hemisphere, it will be winter in the Southern Hemisphere.

The location of the Town Plaza, Airport, Dock, and northern ‘secret’ beach seems to change along with the rest of the map layout. The airport and plane, which match, have at least blue, yellow, orange, or green for color possibilities.

As of right now, there is only one island allowed per Nintendo Switch console. After progression in the game, you will be able to change the landscape by unlocking permits. A key difference from the previous installment of New Leaf, there are no bridges or ramps built when the player initially visits the island. The only way to navigate at first around the rivers is to create a vaulting pole with a DIY workbench. After three villagers decide to move in, Tom Nook will be able to create bridges for the island. The player also has to initially unlock a ladder to go up cliffs.

Players should consider the placement of the beaches, river heads, and ocean rocks when deciding on an island as these landforms are non-editable even as the game progresses.

Dobie’s default interior in Animal Crossing and the other earlier games consists of nothing but a tea vase. He has the bamboo flooring and the imperial wall. In earlier versions of the game, if given a stereo, he plays Comrade K.K.

In Welcome amiibo, Dobie’s house has a home office theme with items such as the editor desk, editor’s chair, and large bookshelf. There are also various office (Document Stack, Scattered Papers) and book themed items scattered among the floor and upon a console table such as two stacks of books, book stands, and strapped books. This may allude to Dobie being a writer or author. Dobie also has a modern bed and a phonograph, the latter of which plays K.K. Lament. The exterior of Dobie’s house appears very worn down and tattered.

In New Horizons, Dobie’s house resembles the office of an author or detective. It has predominantly brown furniture and an overall cozy, vintage theme. In the middle of his house he has a den chair and den desk from the Den Set. The den desk has an essay set and a typewriter on top of it, and an iron hanger stand and pendulum clock behind it. In the top-left corner of his house, Dobie has a whiteboard, in its fact-finding meeting variant, with scattered papers in front of it. He has two cardboard boxes in the corners of his house, one with a document stack, and the other with two stacks of books. He also has a antique console table with a rotary phone, and an antique mini table with a phonograph that plays Agent K.K.. For wallpaper, he uses the Classic-Library Wall, and for flooring, he uses the Dark Herringbone Flooring.

Personality

Cranky villagers will usually appear in a grouchy or agitated mood and are more difficult to befriend than most other villager types. When talking to the player, cranky villagers tend to become angry if the player disagrees with them or refuses to do a favor. Like all cranky villagers, Del will be invested in his hobby and will often challenge the player to various competitions. He will easily get along with jock, snooty and other cranky villagers, and occasionally lazy and normal villagers as well. However, he will find it hard to socialize with peppy villagers, as they will seem overstimulated or immature. Del will also enjoy spreading rumors about other villagers.

In New Leaf, Beau has Mountain Song playing on his tape deck. He also has a tree standee and two mountain standees, giving it an outdoorsy feel. His home also includes a bird cage, a picnic table, a hammock, and a dog house.

In New Horizons, Beau’s house still has a natural and/or outdoorsy theme. In the center of the room is a picnic setup which includes the outdoor picnic set, green picnic basket, and blue vinyl sheet. Beau’s home is also decorated with a pond stone, silver smoker, pile of firewood, white brick oven, white sleeping bag, and a silver cassette player sitting upon a log bench. His wallpaper is the Meadow Vista, and his flooring is the Daisy Meadow.

• Redd shares being based off of a famous literary work, along with Gulliver. In the first part of Dante’s epic poem the Divine Comedy, Dante’s Inferno, an underworld demon called Rubicante was considered a grafter. A grafter is a person who sells things through unfair or illegal means, and Rubicante is italian for «Crazyred».
• It is interesting to note that Redd bears some resemblance to a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series known as Keaton.
• Redd being a fox is most likely a reference to the actor Redd Foxx, who in the sitcom Sanford and Son played the owner of a junk yard, Fred Sanford, who was known for attempting to scam people out of money. Their personalities also seem to be very similar, supporting this claim.
• His catchphrase, «cousin» bares a striking resemblance to the character Reynard in a medieval tale called Reynard the Fox. Reynard similarly calls most other characters «cousin» as well; especially when he is about to deceive them.
• In Happy Home Designer, when speaking to Joan, she thinks of retiring, but she says she can not think of a replacement. She then says «that wicked fox» offered to take her place, but she makes it obvious she doesn’t trust him. Also, she may say she has booby-traps to protect her turnips from «turnipnappers,» and then say «Like that no-good fox. Ooh, if I ever get ahold of him, I’ll knock the sly smirk right off his snout!» Some other things she says are against foxes, telling the player «Just don’t be a fox, kiddo.»
• In Pocket Camp, there is a harmonious amenity called «Redd’s shrine» which features statues of Redd.
• Redd may be a reference to the Tekiya, a historical Japanese caste of nomadic merchants. They would travel the countryside, setting up stalls and booths in towns during festivals, and leave shortly after. They had a reputation for being swindlers and were known for shoddy, stolen or overpriced merchandise.
• The name Jolly Redd could possibly be a reference to Jolly Roger, a flag and symbol that is synonymous with pirates.
• It is possible that Redd’s character was also influenced by “Honest John”, a character from the Disney movie Pinocchio. Like Redd, Honest John is a fox who has a swindling and deceptive personality, as well as the both of them having an adjective preceding their names. However, since the depiction of foxes being deceptive is age-old and spans across many cultures, it’s possible that this similarity is a complete coincidence.
• In New Leaf, he has the voice of a lazy villager.
• In New Horizons, he has the voice of a sisterly villager, except pitched up.

Role

In New Leaf

In New Leaf, Leif runs the Gardening Store, providing seeds (both saplings and flowers), fertilizer, and house plants. Eventually, after enough upgrading, his store merges with Timmy and Tommy’s store, where he will be found in the gardening section of T.I.Y. or at the lower-right corner on the first floor of T&T Emporium.

When 50 or more weeds have appeared in the player’s town, he can occasionally be seen wandering around the town. When talked to, he sometimes offers to pull some of the town’s weeds. Unless he is dozing, in which case he will ask the player to pick the weeds for him.

In Pocket Camp

In Pocket Camp he appears during «Leif’s Spring Flower Event» in search of rare pink, yellow, purple and navy flower ladybugs to restore an ecosystem. The player has to grow white clovers as well as yellow and pink sleeping beauties in their garden in order to attract these ladybugs. Leif will reward the player with various bonuses, including new furniture, new clothing, essences, leaf tickets and even a spring flower foreground and middle ground.

In New Horizons

Leif was added as a traveling vendor to New Horizons in the . He is available from the start of the game, and is present in the Resident Services plaza from 5am to 10pm. During Nature Day, Leif becomes guaranteed to visit the island that week.

Leif sells a selection of shrubs and flower seeds that are not normally sold by Nook’s Cranny. He also offers to buy weeds for 20 bells each, double the normal price.

After the Nature Day event, Leif is the one who gives you the Hedge DIY Recipe. It seems to be somewhat random, but once the player has bought enough items from Leif he will offer you the DIY.

During the month of October, Leif sells pumpkin starts for half of the price of Nook’s Cranny; 140 bells per start.

Leif would sell you 5 shrubs when you have money only for one. Some people say this is not a bug but is an Easter Egg.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons supports connectivity with the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app, where players can type out messages, use voice chat, view island statistics, and import custom designs from QR codes created by Animal Crossing: New Leaf or Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer.

Players that have Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp linked on the same My Nintendo account can redeem rewards via the My Nintendo screen in the mobile app. The rewards are 50 Leaf Tickets to use in Pocket Camp and a 16-digit download code for Nintendo eShop used to access special furniture and clothing items orders in New Horizons.

Одна из основных функций, добавленных в игру, позволяет игроку размещать предметы мебели как в помещении, так и на улице. Когда игрок ест еду (например, яблоки), игрок получает энергию, которая даёт возможность выкорчевать целые деревья и посадить их в другом месте, оставляя их на том же уровне роста, на каком они были при выкорчёвывании. Игроки также смогут использовать верстак для изготовления мебели из материалов, собранных на острове. Также можно будет делать свои дороги из глины, которую можно извлечь из камней.
Если Nintendo Switch игрока находится в южном полушарии, игра приспособит сезоны и ночное небо к этой части мира.
Игрок сможет обновить свои магазины, как и в предыдущих играх, включая Бюро услуг.
Как и в New Leaf, персонажи игроков выше, чем в предыдущих играх, и игроки могут в любой момент изменить причёски, черты лица и цвет кожи своих персонажей. Nintendo подтвердила, что в New Horizons не будет новых типов личности.
Одежда будет более характерна для многих более реалистичных типов одежды, включая кофты на талии, рюкзаки и чехлы для Нукофонов.
Игрок также может выбрать новые прически, и теперь можно настроить и нос, и рот.
Том Нук, Тимми и Томми также будут переодеваться в разные времена года.

Новые здания и локации

• Бюро услуг — место, где игрок может создавать, покупать или продавать предметы. Подтверждено, что оно может быть улучшено и возведено в более большое здание.
• Dodo Airlines — это место, где игрок может посетить острова других игроков или сделать так, чтобы они посетили их самостоятельно. Это также место, откуда игрок отправляется на островные туры.
